Thank you all for the feedback!
I am excited to announce are considering this for the roadmap and starting to scope it out. We would like to talk to interested customers to understand more details about their needs. If all goes well, this will be added to the roadmap this year. If you have any interest, please comment here and let us know so we can coordinate a call. Thank you!

It would be great to have a messenger like options like https://www.7shifts.com/ has. Similar to FB messenger

Still no messaging option for staff to communicate. Having everything in one place would be wonderful instead of staff having to exchange personal information in order to communicate through other messaging platforms not meant for work. Big downside vs other scheduling apps!

A team chat would be awesome!!

I can understand why having messaging apps is a desire, but objectively, I do not think this is the most efficient method. Many people already have and use text messaging.
There is a desire to reduce the amount of apps you work with, correct? How does using more apps, even if integrated, alleviate that problem?
More apps, and integrating them sounds awfully confusing.

Chat Room/Group Chat

Number one thing missing is a "chat" room or group messaging where all can reply. I still use Crew because of communication (not convenient). This allows employees to say something like "I am desperate for someone to pick up my shift, I will cover you next time needed" and then someone can jump in, etc...The nice thing about Crew is you can also see who read the message and what time. Shift coverage communication is my number one need amongst my employees.

It would also be nice if the messages are saved so we can access them as "managers" to view all conversations between staff. This is the only reason why still use homebase.

I'd like to see a chat feature where you could send a message to only those clocked in. Our intention is to have each staff member have an iPod Touch. For example, If I want to communicate with the on shift staff that I need something set-up, I could send a message and someone could respond that they are going to do it. My intention is to replace the walkie talkie because our staff HATES using them. Plus you can't really hear each other well and we are often repeating what we said.
