Conditional Display on Multiple Choice Items
The option to condition the display a list item on the answer to a multiple choice answer.
What is it?
You can now see multiple choice items in the conditional display dropdown box on a list. This feature will be available in 5.42.x or later after a short beta test period.
Why does it matter?
This feature expands the usefulness of conditional display to help keep your lists simple for end users by allowing you to hide items that only need to show if a previous item is answered in a certain way.
How does it work?
Let's say you have a multiple choice item with possible answers of Pass, Caution, and Fail.
Additionally, you have another item that only needs to be completed if the answer to the multiple choice item is "Fail". You can now select the multiple choice item in the conditional display dropdown and specify "Fail" as the answer to trigger the display of the other item.
With this feature it is also possible to have multiple conditions that can be satisfied to display an item. You can just click the
Add Condition
button to add more conditions. Keep in mind that when you have multiple conditions, the conditional display item will display if ANY of the conditions are true.
