Option to customize the actions when a process in
Time & Temperature
fails.
What is it?
In
Time & temperature
, each food handling process can be customized to require certain steps to take place when a process fails.
Why does it matter?
Depending on the food and process, a kitchen manager may want certain actions taken when a food handling process fails. For example, if a soup isn't cooled below 70° F in under 2 hours, there could be an option to reheat the soup and try it again. Other foods may need to be discarded if the cooling processes doesn't complete successfully.
How does it work?
To customize the final actions for a failed process, take the following steps:
  1. A location website admin or above can log onto the
    Jolt Web Portal
    and navigate to
    Lists | Time and Temperature
    .
  2. Select the process you want to modify and click on the
    Options
    tab.
  3. At the bottom, click on the link that says
    Edit final actions
to open the failed process template.
  4. You can add and remove items to match the process you want your staff to take for a failed process.
  5. Save your changes.

When the process you change fails on the app, you will see the items on the final action list that must be completed to finish the process.
These items also display in reporting so you have a record of the steps taken for the failed process.
Note: This feature does not work with conditionally displayed items yet. That will be coming in the near future.
