Unique barcodes within option sets
Michael
Hi Pat,
Just coming back to this real quick. Would you always have a pre-set list of prices for the employee's to choose from when they print the label? So for example you would create a multiple choice option set of $1, $1.50, and $2? That would require you to create option sets for each product.
Or would the employee need to be able to type in any number for the price?
Or does that depend on the product where you want to restrict it to specific option sets for some products but allow open price entry on others?

Michael for my organization, multiple choice preset options would be the desired goal.
Most items we get would need 3-5 options, and I had tried creating different option sets with low prices ($0.50,0.75,1.00,1.50), medium prices (1.00,1.50,2.00,3.00), or high prices (3.00,4.00,5.00,6.00). But unfortunately the barcode stays the same regardless of price, so i have had to create individual items for each price for every item.

Hi Pat,
Thanks for the feedback. I'd like to clarify my understanding here. Instead of having separate labels for $2 and $1 mugs, you want a single label where employees can select if it is $1 or $2 and then have the barcode update accordingly. I'm assuming it's a price embedded barcode, is that correct?
Is the motivation behind making this a single label with option sets instead of multiple labels because you have many products with different price points like this, so it would create an overwhelming number of labels? Any details you can share there would be helpful
Do you also list the price somewhere on the label so would you want that price to update as well?

Michael Yes that's correct. I run a thrift store and we are using labels to help speed up our checkout process. I would like each thing we sell to have its own barcode at every price point we might sell it at. But if I were to create a label for each price an item might be, I would have 1,000s of labels and not enough space on my tablet screen.
Currently our labels have the item name, price, and a barcode. I would like to have the price and barcode adjust for each item with a specific barcode unique to that price and item.
