Timer for tasks

we would love to have a timer that could be activated when a checklist is started. i'm thinking if a a checklist should take 10 minutes it would be great if a worker could set the timer when they open that check list; it seems that many staff lose track of time and end up taking longer on an activity than it should take.

Hi Everyone,
I would like to add to Michael's update on the new Stopwatch item with a new List Time Report.
Announcement - https://jolt.canny.io/changelog/stopwatch-list-item-type
We have added a report for the average time to complete a list, the List Time Report. The List Time Report collects all of the instances of completed lists in the date range you select and averages how long it took to complete each list. The completion time is defined as the difference between the time of day the first item on the list was completed and the time the list was submitted. Partially completed lists are not included in this report.

Please let us know if you have any questions or would like to review the features together. We would also like your feedback if these features can provide what you are requesting.
Thanks,
Sarah

Hey Everyone, thanks for the feedback.
We now have a timer item for lists in Beta testing. It was built for timing tasks (eg. Auditor starts timer and record how long it takes from placing an order to receiving an order) but we want to get feedback. Please let us know if you are interested in testing! *Note that the timer item will require a subscription to Lists Plus.

Start Stop Button

A list button that would toggle from "Start" to "Stop" each time the user clicked on it. The button would start timing when "Start" is toggled, and it would pause timing when "Stop" is toggled. When the list is entirely swept, the timer would record total time. We are interested in knowing how long a list is taking to complete for use in time and motion studies etc. Sometimes a staff member needs to leave a particular task and return to it later. This would help keep an accurate record of time actually spent on task.

This suggestion is in sync with my suggestion for a start stop button.
