For those testing, hopefully this feature is already providing value for you and your business. Do you have any feedback for us? Any bugs or pain points with the feature? We haven't heard much of anything so any feedback about the breaks feature would be appreciated here. Thank you for your help!

Michael: Hi Michael, its it just the first phase of a start stop system? I would be happy to test but not keen on a start stop but more of the user being able to enter in their total break time. Cheers
Michael
Arlene: Yes the first phase on time clock is for a button to start and stop a break, record that time, and deduct it from the total hours in the reports. On scheduling it helps deducts from the scheduled shift for accurate labor forecasting.
That is great feedback and can be considered for a phase 2 on breaks. Would love to know more details about why this works better for your business so we can make sure and design it properly. What makes it better to have them enter in the break time? Are your breaks paid or unpaid? Is there no concern that they will enter less time then they actually took? Sorry for all the questions just want to understand your business better so we can plan the product better!

Michael: Our team if they work over 8 hours get 20min paid and 30min unpaid. We are offer a very flexible work place and if they need to go an grab a coffee and have a breather they do so. I don't want them to have to clock in and out every time that happens. Most of our team are very honest and know they use up their paid breaks for the "Pit Stops" during the day. I don't want to micro manage them - I trust them to be honest.
Michael
Arlene: Perfect thank you for helping me understand more! This makes a lot of sense for them to just enter in their break time. I'm assuming that is best done at the end of the day when they are clocking out?

Michael: yes end of day would be great. at the moment they are adjusting the time at the end of the day and writing a note in the forgot to clock out area.

We have finished the first phase of this feature and would love to have people start beta testing it! The first phase includes the ability to start and end a break on the time clock without being flagged, and it will deduct the time of the break from the working hours. It will also record the break time in the web reports. There are some limitations and you cannot edit the break times on the reports currently, but that is coming down the pipe. If you are interested in testing, please comment.

I would love the ability to have a break clock out so the employee could still be seen as "here" but be off of the time clock. Basically pausing their time clock for a set period of time.
Being able to choose options like "15 minute break" and "30 minute break" would allow us to send people on break and have them not on the clock but not accrue flagged punches and if it could lock them out for the allotted time it would keep us in easier alignment with the law.
If it could sync with app to alert them when they have 5 minutes left or something like that it would be even better!
