Permission Settings are way too limited

We should be able to allow access to complete the work order by any employee, but limit the viewing to only HR and Payroll (for confidential info, like pay rate changes). Why is this not a feature?

Hi Cora, Thanks for taking the time to make Work Orders better. Usually, any employee who can complete a work order also has permission to view it. Are you suggesting that once a work order is closed, access to it is further restricted? Or are you suggesting that we limit viewing from a particular screen? Any further details you can add would be helpful. Thanks! Jim Jensen

Jim Jensen I am suggesting that the work order be able to be completed by anyone, but that you can limit closed work orders to only be viewable by a specific role. For instance, we would like to be able to use the work order to have managers submit PAF's (personnel action forms), for better internal tracking and to avoid having to "schedule" a list to appear every day. However, PAF's have sensitive info included such as salaries. We don't want every manager who has access to complete a PAF form to be able to see everyone else's PAF. So, we're going to use the List function instead, which will suffice but won't be as clean.
