Log Book

Our entire staff has access to the Logbook so that they can all leave notes about how the shift went. We have certain checklists that are only accessible by certain roles. However, if a comment is made on the checklist, anybody can see that comment in the Logbook. I'd like to see a feature that makes it so that Logbook entries that came from checklist notes are only able to be viewed by people with permissions to that list.

notifications with logbook so if you mention someone or need someone to do the task in the logbook that they will know about it.

If logbook was like shiftnote.com Jolt would basically be in world-domination position... Instead of individual entries tied to list items, LogBook should offer the ability to create "logbook entry templates" for daily reports with multiple items per entry (daily sales, KPI measurements, open responses for various recurring caterogies, like equipment, staffing, maintenance, etc.). Text entries would be searchable for future lookback purposes. Measurement items would translate into graphs for KPI tracking. And the icing on the cake would be that when you post a logbook entry it would send emails to whoever you specify and all readers could respond directly via email to all others on the thread without having to go back into the dashboard. I would pay extra for this!!

What we are REALLY looking for is a method of "ticketing" for equipment repairs. 15-store Organization. 4 equipment techs. Would be ideal for stores to be able to "post" repair needs. A tech be able to select and "own" one. The posting store and other techs "see" that it has been started. Send updates. And close it out when completed.

Some of our Area Managers have mentioned wanting the ability to add more than 1 photo to the logbook from the 'Add to logbook' button within checklists, without having to go to the logbook tab and add more as a comment

Tested on iPhone 16 / iPhone 16 Pro When creating a logbook entry on the phone app (same issue not present on tablet), you can type in the entry as per usual. If going to add a photo, if the keyboard is not manually closed, the photo upload options are hidden behind the keyboard. The keyboard is not force-closed. Easy workaround, but a bit annoying for users.

We'd like to be able to add our entire nightly email to the logbook, but there isn't enough space. We then have to add it to the replies and it is very unappealing to read. Please add more characters!! :)

via email or text to a phone number assigned to a location. This way external parties can also reach us.

I'd like to be able to filter log book entries by the list they relate too

When a logbook entry is added or existing one updated, please enable in-app notification so that employees can open Jolt app to check what changed. Right now they continue to send SMS messages to the owner or manager instead of using the logbook as there is no way of knowing when a logbook entry is made.
